 300 singles (100 each round)

60 DB Snatches (15lbs) - 20 each round

40 T2B (K2E - 10 each round)

20 bar over burpees - 10 each round

We completed the partner WOD @ 13:06 so we had about 9 mins to find our 1 RM squat clean. Crystal got 95# and I got 85# for a total score of 180lbs

Because it was a Saturday and we couldn’t figure out how to get the clock to work, Jen set her watch for 2 mins at a time and we could keep one another accountable through it. Between switching off we would write down how many power cleans we were able to get during our 2 mins and then add it up. As a result, we ended up doing a total of 128 power cleans (supposed to be 120 total) in 12:01.

Partnered with Jennifer & her daughter Jessica.

Once we completed this we went ahead and did Fran (one of our 4 WOD challenges from the Pursuit of Fitness packet.

I did Fran in 5:45 using 55# for thrusters and jumping pull ups

Brutal, but oh so good!

My partner (Trudy) and I split the work and did 50 of each set...breaking them into 10 at a time.

14 lbs medicine ball (we ran 3 200m runs - she ran it down with me by her side and then I ran it back with her running next to me)
55lbs deadlifts (hamstring...and 50!)
Power cleans with 55lbs
Push press with 35 lbs barbell (45 lbs the 1st round only)
Wall balls with the same 14 lbs medicine ball we ran with

Time: 30:35
*Also, we were the first team to finish so I was super proud of our efforts!

October 5, 2013

I was so excited when my xfit friends asked if I would be part of this challenge they are putting on.  There are 2 parts to their challenge.  Their 6 week challenge and WOD challenge.  I have been maintainig my weight and inches lost from doing the 6 week challenge from before.  I am definitely more conscious of what I eat.  I'm not perfect on what I eat 100% of the time, but at least I know now what I need to do to be and feel healthier.  Anyway...I agreed to do their WOD challenge.  Here is what it is:
We are having a challenge meeting on Thursday at 6pm to go over the team and individual challenge rules.  This would be a good opportunity to "strategize" as some of the team workout information will be revealed.
Each person will participate in at least one workout on one of the next 6 Saturdays--the workouts are fun and this is extra motivation to stick with the lifestyle challenge.  So it will be EASY and motivating and rewarding . . .what more could you want?

Enough said right?  So Saturday was the first challenge and since it involved running, I was up for this WOD.

Everyone on the team of 4 started off by running 1 mile.
Then we had to divide up any way we wanted to:  200 sit ups and 200 push ups.
We tried to make it so each person would do their (even) amount of 50 of each, but by the end of the WOD, it turned into everyone yelling at each other how many we still needed, etc.  It was a crazy mess, but fun in a totally weird way. :)  Our team's final time was:12:09.  I forgot to look at the clock when I came back from my 1 mile run, but I know I came back in between 2 people who did look at the clock, so I'm guessing my time for the mile was about 7:30.  If that's true, that means I would have shaved more time from my run!  Now I want to go time myself at the track to see how accurate it was.

Team Time: 12:09
Team Members:  Me, Michelle, Troy and Kelly

April 18, 2013

80 air squats
80 push ups
80 sit ups
Run 400 meters carrying 25# plate
80 kettlebell swings 53/35
80 burpees
80 box jumps 24/20
Run 400 meters carrying 25# plate

This is a partner workout.  Get through the 80 reps however you and your partner wish.   Whoever is not working must be holding a 25# plate.  The plate can not touch the ground.  If the plate touches the ground during the workout, there is an immediate 25 burpee penalty for BOTH partners.  Both partners must run the  400 meters.

Partner:  Jen
Time:  26:24 Rx
(Thankfully we started with the harder stuff first and went in reverse order.  We also did 10 reps each before trading off with each other...AND luckily, we NEVER dropped the 25 lb. dumbbell!)
